Good evening – this is name, callsign. I’ll be your net control this evening for the Hurst Amateur Radio Club Sunday Night Net.
This net meets each Sunday at 7:30 PM for announcements and general discussion relating to the Hurst Amateur Radio Club, our members, and amateur radio in general. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the net.
Additional for 5th Sunday net – Since this is the fifth Sunday of the month, this net is hosted on our 440 repeater. At this time, the 440 repeater has a smaller footprint than our 2-meter repeater. To ensure that everyone that would like to check-in can do so, we will need a secondary proxy net control. Is there a station willing to serve as proxy net control, and monitor the 2-meter repeater for proxy check-ins? {Break}
All Nets – We will take check-ins by area, concluding with EchoLink/AllStar. After stations have checked in, I’ll go back and call each station in order of check-in for comments or announcements.
First, is there any emergency or priority traffic? {Break}
- If there is emergency traffic, immediately respond to the calling station and assist. Otherwise:
There was no Emergency traffic heard. If at any time you or someone does have an emergency or priority traffic, please interrupt the net by using the pro-sign “break” and I will immediately halt all check-ins, traffic, or comments, and assist in the best way possible. I will now take any mobile or portable station check-ins wishing to join the Hurst Amateur Radio Sunday Night Net. Come with your call sign phonetically, now. {Break}
- Please record callsigns, name if possible, and whether there is traffic from stations checking-in. Pause for approximately 10 seconds after the last check-in. Take check-ins and comments immediately.
